Finally the day that all of us awaited for so long came by. The Royal Wedding! Undoubtedly it was a day that will go down in history. Even days soon after, there will be so countless points that we will not be in a position to forget. Some of the most unforgettable points about the Royal Wedding are the new trends that came with it. Following are new trends from the Royal Wedding.
(1) A Bridal Gown With Sleeves
The moment Kate stepped in front of the cameras on her huge day, all eyes went on her gown. And everyone liked what they saw. When the most trendy fashion trend for bridal dresses is strapless or sleeveless, Kate opted for an elegant and a modest bridal gown with sleeves. Unlike the highly gaudy gowns that brides opt for, her gown was modest and divine. Her gown is mentioned to most resemble Grace Kelly's gown. The lace on the sleeves gave a classy and sophisticated appear to the gown, though the train look of the gown created it look effortless however stylish.
(2) The Veil
Her veil was produced with dazzling ivory silk tulle and also was hand-embroidered with flowers carried out by the Royal School of Needlework. It was kept perfectly in place with the use of the royal tiara. "Something old, a thing borrowed, a thing new, some thing blue", is a traditionally old concept followed by some brides. Kate Middleton kept up to the tradition, by wearing a lovely tiara shaped in the form of a halo, lent to her by The Queen.
(3) The Hairdo
Kate has showed us that much less is a lot more with her elegant hair style. Unlike the fully rolled up hair and overly decorated hair-dos that are really much 'in' for brides, Kate preferred to let her beautiful tresses down. She kept her hair-do fairly natural, and yet it looked so really classy. Her hair-do was a uncomplicated "demi-chignon" style carried out by her favorite person, James Pryce from her favorite salon, Richard Ward of Chelsea in London.
(4) The Earrings
The pair of earrings that the young Duchess wore for this regal event, was carefully set with diamonds that peered out through the beautifully stylized oak leaves shaped style. They also consisted of a beautiful pear shaped set drop. The earrings also had a pavé set diamond acorn that was engraved at the center. The special design was inspired from Kate's family's coat of arms that had oak leaves and acorns.
Finally, there is no clear cut formula to appear royal. Kate proved this, by the way she walked and carried herself. She would look royal anyway, even if it were not for the beautiful attire.
